Exterior painting built for Colorado weather.

Denver has some of the most extreme swings anywhere, and your siding expands and contracts with every one. How the exterior is prepared is the key to a paint job that lasts.

Repainted two-story home with brick wainscot and stone columns

Every 7 to 10 years

An investment in the house is an investment in your future.

A Denver home should be repainted every seven to ten years. Done right, the prep weatherizes the house — reducing energy costs and protecting its structure for years to come.

Our exterior painters average twenty years of experience, and quality is our first priority on every house. Exterior accents can complement the new paint, too: shutters, trim details and faux-finished masonry that ties additions into the original home.

  1. Pressure washing

High- and low-pressure washing removes dirt and pollution before any painting begins.

  2. Trimming

Trees and shrubs are trimmed back to at least a foot from every surface we'll paint.

  3. Scraping & sanding

Complete scraping, wire brushing and sanding to ensure surface integrity.

  4. Caulking

Every vertical seam and exterior void is caulked, for weatherization and a clean finished look.

  5. Siding replacement

Where voids are too large or rot is found, siding is replaced before painting — not painted over.

  6. Priming

The best exterior primer, rolled and brushed over nail heads and any bare surface, for adhesion and moisture resistance.

  7. Masking

Clean, tight masking protects windows, brick and anything else that shouldn't be painted.

  8. Body coats

Two coats on the field areas using a wet-on-wet spray application.

  9. Trim coats

Trim is rolled and brushed with two coats using a wet-on-dry application.

Exterior accents

Faux finishing, outdoors.

Concrete finished to read as weathered wood, speaker covers disguised as stacked stone, and new brick blended into old.

New brick on a column base never matches the house. A faux finish can — matching the color, the variation and the wear of the original masonry.
